GOLDEN NUGGETS # 101: SEEING REVIVAL FROM GOD'S PERSPECTIVE

If we are focusing on things happening in the natural world, it would be fairly easy to become discouraged. Especially since satan and his demon horde are constantly working to discourage Christians. Sin abounds. Perversion abounds. Corruption abounds. From a Christian perspective looking at things in the natural, things are looking pretty dark in the United States and around the world right now. Satan is declaring he has won, and we might as well give up, retreat behind the walls of the church, and hope Jesus comes soon to take us out of here.

But is that the truth? No, it is not! From God’s perspective, satan has already been defeated! Do we desperately need personal and corporate revival? YES! And the good news is that God sends revival when it is needed! ALL of the great revivals and awakenings have occurred at dark moments in history. The darkest moment was when Jesus’ lifeless body was taken off the cross and placed in a tomb, sealed by a great stone and guarded by Roman soldiers. It doesn’t get darker and more hopeless than that for a follower of Jesus. But while His followers were weeping, Jesus was busy taking the keys away from satan. While His disciples thought all was lost, Jesus was busy erasing all our sins and making it possible for us to be born again as new creations, delivered from the old sin nature and the law of sin and death. His resurrection became our resurrection!

“Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his!” Colossians 2:15

What satan thought was his greatest moment of triumph was, in reality, the moment of his thorough, complete, humiliating, and irrevocable defeat! And so today: The greatest revival and awakening in the history of the world has already begun! Where sin abounds, grace much more abounds (see Romans 5:20).

“Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.” (Isaiah 6:1-2 NKJV).

This is not a time for the people of God to be discouraged. This is the time God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh, and He will show “wonders in the heavens and in the earth…Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. And it shall come to pass That whosever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved” (Joel 2:28-32 NKJV).

Jesus stripped satan of his authority over the earth. And guess who He gave it to – you, a born-again son of God!

See things from God’s perspective and use your mouth to decree the will of God on the earth. Use your mouth to decree that the United States of America will be saved! Use your mouth to decree the greatest revival and awakening since that first Pentecost in Jerusalem! Use your mouth to decree that a billion souls will come into the Kingdom of GOD!

Brothers and sisters in Christ, do not be discouraged!

“Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times” (Romans 12:11-12 TPT).

Glory be to God!
