Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; (Isaiah 5:20, NKJV).
In this critical time in our nation and in the world, the voices of those opposed to the rule of law and Judeo-Christian values are loud, while the voices of those in favor of the rule of law and those Judeo-Christian values are being squelched, ridiculed, threatened, prosecuted, persecuted, and in some places, permanently silenced. Evil is called good and good is called evil.
But God’s Word does not change just because culture changes. What His Word meant thousands of years ago, it still means today. Satan has deceived many Christians in this hour by equating love and compassion with acceptance and approval of all behavior. But God’s Word, His will, and His purposes do not change, even when they are not popular or mainstream. For I am the LORD, I do not change (Malachi 3:6 NKJV). God IS Love, full of mercy and compassion. But He is most definitely NOT an “anything goes” god! For the wages of sin is death… (Romans 6:23, NKJV).
He is GOD. He is Holy. He is Righteous. He stands behind His Word.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please (Isaiah 55:11).
You have magnified Your word above all Your name (Ps. 138:2).
This 2020 election offers some very defined choices. It isn’t a matter of voting for a political party, or even whom we "like" or "dislike." It is a matter of voting for people who enact into law one policy view or another, under which we will live. We need to determine what God’s view of the policies are: Does God approve of abortion? Homosexuality? Same-sex marriage? Government control of religion? Lawlessness? Violence? Chaos? Destruction? Injustice? Corruption? Perversion? False witness? Does God value freedom? Does God value the freedom to worship Him?
As Christians we are stewards of our vote, and our vote must be consistent with what GOD’s Word says. We will either be advancing the Kingdom of GOD or the kingdom of darkness, and we will be held accountable for our vote (Matt. 25:14-30).
GOD does not change His Word or His ways to suit us; He demands we come into alignment with HIS Word and HIS ways. He does love us, each and every one of us, no matter what we have done. He loves this nation. He stands ready to offer forgiveness, no matter how vile the sin, if we will humble ourselves, acknowledge and confess our sins to Him, ask for His forgiveness, and ask Him to help us live lives that are pleasing to Him.
He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy (Proverbs 28:13 NKJV).
Heavenly Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in our lives, in this election, and in our nation. Amen.
Pray for our nation to return to its Biblical foundation. The Third Great Awakening is about to usher in the glory of God!
