REFLECTIONS #110: DESTINED FOR THE THRONE

“To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me on the throne” Rev. 3:21.

“THESE are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.” ~ Thomas Paine, “the American Crisis”

This is a time of testing for America and the Church, and God is in the process of weeding out the summer soldiers, sunshine patriots, and fair-weather, lukewarm Christians. We have entered into a new era of warring for our future. This era is a sifting era, a shaking era, to bring forth the glorious Church without spot, wrinkle or blemish that Paul spoke about in Ephesian 5:27

.

Why does God allow satan to roam the earth? Because we, the Bride of Christ, have been destined by GOD to sit with Him on His throne and rule and reign for eternity. God is allowing satan and evil in order to teach us how to overcome them. We are “rulers in training” on the earth for our eternal destiny of ruling and reigning with the King of Kings and Lord of lords forever and beyond.

“Learning progressively in time to overcome Satan is the primary qualification for rulership in eternity. This is why God looked for a man to overcome Satan instead of doing it Himself  [see Ezekiel 22:30-31]. This also explains why God permits Satan to contest the believer—to give him exercise in overcoming.” ~ Paul Billheimer, Destined To Overcome

Right now we are in the midst of a fierce battle in the United States and in the world between good and evil. This hour is both our greatest danger and our greatest opportunity. God is allowing our national and global crisis because He wants to intervene. He wants to expose the evil and corruption so that He can cleanse us and restore righteousness and justice. Just as in the days of Ezekiel, God is looking for a man or woman who will stand in the gap for the United States of America.

The next 60 days are going to be very challenging. We will need to guard our eye gates and our ear gates more than usual, because the media will be making decrees that the battle is over. The summer soldier and the fair-weather Christian will watch from the sidelines, waiting to see how things turn out. But, the Issachar Christian, who knows the signs of the times and his destiny to rule and reign with Christ eternally, suits up in God’s armor, takes up His Sword, fills his mouth with God’s promises and decrees, and boldly charges into battle, knowing that the “gates of hell will not prevail” against the true Church (see Matt. 16:18).

“And he that overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end will I give power [authority] over the nations” Rev. 2:26.
